AgDSS covers 609,213 rural lots across 62 councils and 2,765 rural suburbs in Queensland. Rural lots are those in a planning-scheme rural zone, plus — in the parts of Queensland where no council scheme is digitised — lots mapped as agricultural or production-forestry land use.
Every council page carries the Agricultural Land Class mix, carbon and vegetation cover, water-plan coverage, hazard exposure and mapped fire history. Each council page also lists every rural suburb in it, with a link through to a suburb-scale deep dive.
Agricultural Land Class and Strategic Cropping Land come from the Queensland Agricultural Land Audit. Carbon stock is derived from the ESA Climate Change Initiative Biomass product, and vegetation cover from Digital Earth Australia Fractional Cover. Land use is from the Queensland Land Use Mapping Program. Hazard, water-plan, fire-history and native-title layers come from the responsible Queensland Government agencies, and lot identity from the Queensland Digital Cadastral Database.
